Letters, stories and everyday alchemy from a British writer in Tuscany
I'm Fiona Cameron Tankard, a British writer and artist who has lived in Tuscany for more than twenty years. From a stone farmhouse beside an ancient village, I write about bees, books, gardens, forgotten things, gold thread, old stories and the unexpected magic hidden in ordinary life.
The Wild and Gilded Letter Club
Once a month I send a letter from Tuscany, accompanied by small treasures inspired by a theme from life here—bees, gardens, old books, gold, language, history and the art of noticing.
What Arrives Every Month in Each Letter
Each mailing may include:
* A themed letter
* Handmade or fine Italian paper
* Original artwork or illustrated sheets
* Recipes and traditions from Tuscany
* Language and folklore
* Small seasonal discoveries
About Fiona
I live on the edge of a Tuscan village with my husband, alpacas, hens, bees, a rough collie puppy and a Maine Coon kitten. Our farmhouse stands beside an old cemetery and not far from an Etruscan altar. Much of my writing explores the meeting place between history, nature, creativity and everyday wonder.
